Sand Art

Ilana Yahav is an Israeli sand artist, animator and performer. She has performed at the Kremlin, and to the King of Spain and Belgium. Her works are often performed live against a projected light-table, with a live orchestra.

This work was commissioned by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. In 5 minutes, Yahav takes us through dystopic and utopic futures, imagining a world where nature is given opportunity to thrive. The film is accompanied by an uplifting score.
